Formal policy on Professional Wetland Scientist and Wetland Professinal in Training Recommendations.

If you are applying for Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Wetland Scientists or Wetland Professional in Training certification and request a recommendation from Richard Chinn, who is a Life Member of the Society of Wetland Scientists and a Professional Wetland Scientist, here is our policy:

• If you have not yet taken the course, tell Richard Chinn in advance that you will be requesting a reference.

• If you have already taken the course, contact Richard Chinn and tell him that you will be requesting a reference.  Generally, he will require that you send a digital photograph, your resume and the appropriate hard copy paperwork sent by postal mail with a SASE.  Do not send by email attachment.

• Completion of our courses does not automatically qualify a participant for a reference!  Providing a reference for the PWS or WPIT is at the sole and absolute discretion of Richard Chinn.
